Busta Rhymes Taps Chris Brown, Kodak Black & More For ‘Blockbusta’


Busta Rhymes has revealed the star-studded tracklist for his upcoming Blockbusta album which will feature assists from Chris Brown, Kodak Black and more.

On Thursday (November 16), Bus-A-Bus took it back to the early 2000s by using a Blockbuster DVD case to unveil the tracklist for the anticipated project ahead of its arrival next week.

The 19-track effort will see Busta connecting with the incarcerated Young Thug, BIA, Quavo, Blxst, T-Pain, DaBaby, Coi Leray, BLEU, Swizz Beatz, JNR Choi, Giggs, Shenseea, Morray and more on the loaded affair.

“BLOCKBUSTA!! IT’S TIME!! 11.24.23,” he wrote while confirming the album is slated to land on Black Friday (November 24).

Ludacris, Smino, Giggs and tons of fans showed love in the comment section as Busta Rhymes gets ready to unleash his 11th studio album.

Last month, Busta raised the stakes for Blockbusta after confirming that the talented triumvirate made up of Pharrell, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz were on board as producers of the project.

“This project right here is executive produced by the fucking committee,” Swizzy said in a clip as the foursome chatted over Zoom. “Pharrell the Pharaoh, Timbo the King, Swizz Beatz the student.”

Busta added to the mega group: “I’m so grateful that you chose me to be a part of your legacy.”

Pharrell said of the album, “You really feel illuminated. This illumination is good because I think people gon’ be able to get and feel that,” while Timbo added that the project was “timeless.”

The album follows 2020’s Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God – a star-studded effort that includes appearances from the likes of Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mariah Carey, Anderson .Paak, Q-Tip, Rick Ross, Mary J. Blige, Rapsody, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Rakim and more.

It debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, earning 38,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.

Meanwhile, Busta Rhymes is still overseas serving as a supporting act on 50 Cent’s The Final Lap Tour. The trek is currently in the UK with upcoming shows in London, Newcastle, Glasgow and more.
